Community colleges join forces to expand access to AI training.

Community colleges across the U.S. are tackling the growing demand for AI skills by joining the AI Readiness Consortium, led by Complete College America. This initiative unites five community colleges—Cuyahoga Community College, Atlanta Metropolitan State College, City Colleges of Chicago, Pikes Peak State College, and the City University of New York—to design 25 new AI-integrated courses. Supported by $500,000 in funding, these courses will embed real-world projects with industry partners through Riipen, removing barriers for underserved students, including first-generation and low-income learners. By providing practical AI training, the consortium aims to close opportunity gaps and ensure equitable access to future-ready careers.
